Melissa Beaudet

Farm Manager and Lead Animal Caregiver

Current Role:

Melissa serves as Farm Manager for Rooterville Animal Sanctuary since the management transition in late 2020. She spends most of her time with animals. While at work, she tends to the 30-acre property, as well as the hundreds of farm animals that call Rooterville home. Melissa goes home from work to her very own backyard sanctuary, caring for her farm pets and rescues of all different shapes and sizes. Melissa oversees a small team that handles the daily needs of Rooterville, making sure the animals are fed and have any medications they require and maintaining the land to share with visitors.

“Working with these animals can change any person. I love being a part of a team that impacts people of all walks of life.”

Melissa was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. Melissa came to Florida to get out of the snow and purchase property to begin rescuing animals. In the 3 years she's been in Florida, she has accomplished her goals to take care of animals in need, both in her time off at home and as a professional working as the manager at Rooterville.

“Oh my gosh I don't know where to start, I LOVE working with animals. There is no feeling like waking up knowing you're making a difference in animals' lives. I wouldn't change a thing, and I would gladly do it all over again.”

Making a Difference!

“I’m on a mission to move Rooterville to Orlando, just 30 miles from Disney World, where we can share our stories and these amazing animals with more people, and help more animals in need. I’m on a mission to do more, and I need your help!”

We'd love to hear from you
